Becky Penrose
Becky has been playing the piano for over 15 years and during this period of practice, study and establishment, she achieved her Grade 8 Theory of Music certificate AMEB, Associate Teachers Diploma in Pianoforte AAGM(TD), Licentiate Teachers Diploma in Pianoforte LIMEB(T) and a Bachelor Degree in Music with the Australian Guild of Music Conservatorium in Melbourne, 2007.
Becky has been teaching the piano at Vocalise since 2005 and during this time has helped many students succeed in their formal piano and theory examinations as well as working with her students in preparation for their solo performances in the Vocalise concerts. Becky has just recently written a course and presented group workshops in fundamental music theory, HSC music analysis and theory.
Under the Vocalise Teacher Training Program, Becky has further developed her teaching skills by teaching young beginners in vocals. In addition to teaching music, Becky has performed alongside fellow teachers at Vocalise as a piano accompanist and vocalist, as well as accompanying vocal students with their performances at the mid and end of year concerts.
Becky is passionate and very dedicated about providing a thorough musical education for all students; teaching all the important skills and knowledge of piano playing, singing and musical theory. She strives to make a strong positive impression on her students; not only to help them love and appreciate music but also to encourage self confidence and assist them in reaching their full potential as skillful, talented and passionate musicians.
